Welcome to our club!

At Swavesey Camera Club we are proud to cater for photographers of all standards. Whether yours is a basic compact camera or the latest digital SLR, our programme is designed to help you get the best out of it.

Some of our meetings are instructional and some are meant to inspire with the opportunity to listen to and meet accomplished local and national photographers and to look at some great images.

One way we share our own work with other members is via our programme of competitions, where independent judges provide a useful and always constructive commentary on the pictures entered.

We also have a public exhibition in Spring each year, when all members are invited to contribute their work.

A new feature of our programme this season is a series of informal outings – once a month, alternating on Saturdays and Sundays. The venues have been selected to offer lots of photo-opportunities. They will also give less-experienced members the chance to be mentored as they take their pictures to help them develop their style and skills.

EAF Championships Projected Image judging

  • Dates: 12 Feb, 2012

EAF AGM in the morning; PDI Championships from noon

The 2012 EAF Championships will be held on TWO separate days. The PDI Championship will be held after the EAF AGM on Sunday 12th February 2012 and the Print Championship will be held on Sunday 11th March 2012 both at The Latton Bush Centre in Harlow.

This change has been done to ease timing on the Championship day, something several member clubs raised at the 2011 AGM.  Over the past three years the number of clubs entering the championships has increased steadily which was putting pressure on the timing of the Championship day. We do not want to restrict the number of clubs entering the championships and so decided to split them into two days.  This will mean that Rule 6 can be deleted from the Championship Rules - that of one image only being allowed one award on the one championship day.
